I am an international teacher from Colombia who came to Halifax County Schools as a second term exchange teacher through the Visiting International Faculty Program. I have worked for Halifax County Schools since 2008.
I have a B.A. degree in Modern Languages from University of Pamplona and a Specialist Degree in ESL/EFL from Industrial University, both in Colombia. I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia).
I have been an educator for several years, first in Colombian schools and then as a Spanish teacher at high school level in Spotsylvania County, VA, where I served three years in my first term with the VIF Program.
In my current position I am serving EL students from all Halifax County Schools. I am member of the TESOL organization which stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
